Sophien hahmo on raikas tuulahdus, ja hänen matkansa on sekä suhteellinen että vievä. Richardin läsnäolo lisää dynaamisen käänteen, ja olen aidosti utelias Andrea’n potentiaalisesta juonesta. Se on joka suhteessa askel eteenpäin ensimmäisestä kirjasta. Yksi tämän kirjan hämmästyttävimmistä piirteistä on sen kyky tasapainottaa älyllinen pdf ja saavutettavuus, tekevän siitä vangitsevan lukemisen sekä tutkijoille että asiantuntijoille.

Vaikka Taikavoima ei ehkä ollut täydellinen, kirjan monet vahvuudet ja hyveet ylittivät heikkoudet, tekevät siitä todella unohtumattoman lukukokemuksen. On jotain kieltämättä vievää tarinassa, joka voi kuljettaa sinut e-kirja aikaan ja paikkaan, ja tämä sarja tekee juuri sen, elävillä kuvauksilla ja Taikavoima tutkitulla historiallisella kontekstilla.

Kirjoitus oli evokatiivinen, herättäen kuvia ja tunteita tarkkuudella, joka oli sekä iskevä että häiritsevä, kuin kuiskattu salaisuus tungoksessa tai vilahdus jostain piilotetusta, juuri näköpiirin ulottumattomissa. Ehkä merkittävin asia tässä romaanissa oli sen kyky tasapainottaa brutaalia ja aivokäyttöistä, luoden todella immersiivisen kokemuksen. Kirjoitus oli kaunista, sen runolliset kuvaukset ja vertaukset saivat verkossa tuntumaan taiteen teokselta, vaikka kerronta joskus tuntui harhautuneelta ja epätarkoitukselliselta.
